Grit with Grace

The essence of this blog is GRIT, digging deep, perseverance, and courage. However, if we lack gentleness or grace, we risk becoming self-righteous and feeling isolated with the world against us, or, as Thomasin puts it, "darn-right annoying"

I often remind my family to be kind to themselves. It's easy to share this advice but much more challenging to implement. Occasionally, my pupils remind me to be kind to myself; it's annoying when they are always right! Tenacious determination wrapped in love and gentleness is what I call "Grit with Grace."

I know several people like this; Thomasin is one of them. She has demonstrated exceptional determination in raising our children with clear purpose, focus, and vision, infused with abundant love, grace, patience, and forgiveness.

Corinthians exhausts the point: "If I speak in the tongues of Angels but do not have love, I am only a clanging cymbal...If I give all I possess to the poor but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love never fails." Which, incidentally, is also engraved on the inside of our wedding rings!
